So John's at home, we're always wishings/expecting for the best as we all do. I'm writing now since I have a little time & hope this will pass through with this internet.
Yesterday, I had to take John to the acupuncture lady's place for a treatment, his kidneys & stomach was quite bloated up. His mother in law was visiting so his wife cooked supper & it was too rich & oily for him. Almost suddenly he had heart pain, stomach & kidneys bloated up. Today he seems better, but tired. So with a lot of tact, we told his wife to be careful, no rich or oily food, just diet style food. Well, even then she got sore. Again, I had some difficulty understanding her reaction, & was a bit surprised. Well, she has to decide what's important. John spends time trying to explain & be nice to her. I try to train my mind not to be negative, so each time I throw away my thoughts & say to myself the most important for my brother is harmony around him. So I shut up! & just watch what's happening. I guess she just puts up with me? I try sending her some love because I would like some peace & harmony & everyone to be happy. When meditating (before sleeping & when I wake up, don't have much time during the day so), I ask God please show me the way to Love & Harmony, & help me help my brother regain good health. She is giving me the opportunity to grow spiritually speaking. There is still a lot to learn, well I'm trying.
On the 25th. he goes back to the hospital for a C.T (computer tomography)& on the 30th. go back to decide if chemotherapy or not? He decided no, because his body is too weak to take it. And I read everywhere that chemo weakens the body & in his state might even work against him. SO.........?
I got my plane ticket to go to Shanghai ( where my brothers & myself were born......first time back for me since the age of eight). I'll be leaving with the acupuncture lady on the 4th. & back to Japan on the 6th. That's to renew my stay here for another 3 months. Hopefully his wife will agree to take care of him? I have no other way. Will she stay over night? She's going for the "stem cell treatment". It costs 60,000 U.S Dollars for 2 treatments. For what my brother has, this treatment helps comfortwise, but won't cure. She asked if we wanted to try, we said too expensive. If there's a cure maybe we would find a way trying to borrow some money? Well, again, I'm trying to see on internet if anything?

Yes your mail made it through. I am glad to hear from you. Surely John is more comfortable at home {8-)

Interesting situation. Yes it seems that adversity is the mother of invention and fuel for work on ourselves. Thank you for the update.

Yes hopefully now that John is home and can relax more that the tests and therapy will be successful. Surely everyone is doing everything they can.

Have a good trip on your little vacation to Shanghai {8-) Yes cures would be worth just about anything, but we can learn to live with discomfort. All depends, I guess.

Yes there is still a lot to do and to find out. The nature of the impermanent form. We always work for and hope for the best but by the same token we have to be prepared for the worst. Life always seems so unsettling much of the time. Thanks for the update.

Yes we must do what we can but stay rested for continued challenges. Life seems full of challenges, so we must stay focused. I guess that is why life is so interesting. Take from it what we need, make of it what we can, and enjoy what it is.
