These "Private Postings" are supplemental to all of the other Light Mission endeavors to distribute information to Help in the Unfolding of Inner Awareness -- The Awakening. I hope that you find them helpful and interesting. Dwell on them WithIN and See what Realizations Unfold.

Indeed, it is all about the masks we wear -- in that eventually we *think* that the masks represent who we are. Yet the masks hide who we are, even to ourself. So our attention is with the masks and not IN the Moment, rendering us helpless in *responding* to the Moment AS it IS and AS we ARE. In such state we are always one step ahead of and one step behind ourself, so not ourself. That makes our energy a fabrication of our conditioned thinking and behavior, and so we are controlled and manipulated by it. Hiding our Light under a bushel, as it were, even from ourself. Yet, unleashing our Natural energy of our Natural BEing IN the Natural Moment, from Moment to Moment, is a most awesome Awakening. And this un-trapping of our Natural energy of our Natural BEing IN the Natural Moment, from Moment to Moment, is a most awesome experience both to ourself and all we come in contact with. Yet as you Point out, we must first Recognize those masks that hide us as well and our energy and Recognize our Natural energy of our Natural BEing IN the Natural Moment, from Moment to Moment -- therefore Recognizing 'who' and 'where' we ARE. For alas, who and where we actually ARE at any given Moment IS the only Reality we have at our disposal. And nothing will be very earth-shattering to us, though each Moment is fresh and anew. Future-Shock, because we dwell in the past, can be most devastating.
We cheat ourself and those around us by putting off until tomorrow that which we should be taking care of this very present Moment. As you also Pointed out, the energy which we receive is a reflection of that which we emanate.
First, Sleeping and not being of much concern with Awakening, we *hear* -- Awakening and being very much concerned with Awakening, we *Listen*.
Secondly, as everyone here has Pointed out with their own Insights and the Insights of Wise Sages, and as the Niki ad echoes, the bottom line is that we have to "Just DO It !"
I would say that what Ananda was eluding to was the Realization of choices -- Realizing what a choice is -- Recognizing how we choose and the action of choosing. For, as you said, Recognizing What-IS leaves us very little to choose from. What-IS is What-IS, so the only seeming choice we have is to choose What-IS. We can choose What-IS or we can choose What-IS, so indeed the Path of Truth or the Path of Awakening is quite choiceless in that there is only What-IS to choose. Awakening we *go with the flow* of our Awakening (choicelessly), yet Sleeping we establish many choices for we have already established many likes and dislikes and values of various things to choose from.
We can say, if we like, that we choose What-IS over What-ISNOT, but actually What-ISNOT is folly so those Awakening could not choose folly anyway. Those Awakening have the choice to choose What-IS, which is I would say not really a choice for there is not a dualistic pair to choose between. Awakening is non-dualistic, as What-IS is non-dualistic, as Truth is non-dualistic, as Reality is non-dualistic. If one IS one's Awakening, if one IS What-IS, then there is nothing separate from one's Awakening or What-IS. So Awakening, What-IS, must be our practice. That is, we Live the Life, Walk the Walk, of What-IS Awakening. In such practice there is no separation, there is no duality, there is no choice, there is only Awakening and only What-IS.
"And where are the people, O Lord?" I said, "The earth below and the sky o'erhead, And the dead whom once I knew?" "That was a dream" God smiled and said, "A dream that seemed to be true, There were no people, living or dead, There was no earth and no sky o'erhead, There was only myself and you."
Indeed, to make such Realizations of non-attachment BEFORE the fact is much easier to do something about than AFTER the fact. But to make such Realizations and do nothing about it increases the Pain and Suffering for we are still controlled and manipulated by emotion and memory. For it is in the fear of loss that we cling to those very things that Cause us Suffering. Yet what can be lost ? What do we possess that can be lost ? Can we possess another's Love ? Is not Love the unconditional commitment of Help and Service ? That is established regardless of whether it is embraced or enjoyed by another or not ? In a relationship it must be established by both parties. That can be possessed ? Or lost ? If so, it is not Love but rather some contrivance of our conditioned mind labeling it love. Is there a past or a future IN the Moment ? Is not the Moment to be embraced Moment to Moment, anew each Moment ? Nothing gained and nothing lost ? Is not Love of the same Nature ? Embracing Love and enjoying Love IS Life, and must be embraced and enjoyed Moment to Moment, anew each Moment. For as the Moment, Love has no past nor future but rather simply IS and must be embraced and enjoyed Moment to Moment, anew each Moment.
Otherwise, that which we *think* is love is merely attraction or suits a purpose. It is in *intent* that we Love or we simply *like* -- a vastly unrecognized Truth and much Cause of present day Suffering. Likes can come and go and change with our state of conditioned thinking and behavior, yet Love is endlessly eternal. The wind does not intend to bend or anticipate bending the tree as it blows, nor does the tree intend to bend or anticipate the wind blowing. The wind is simply BEing the wind blowing and the tree is simply BEing the tree bending when the wind blows. BE as the wind and BE as the tree and Respond to the Moment of Love anew each Moment, with no intention nor loss nor pretence of the future. When one can Understand THAT, THEN there is Love. When two people can Understand THAT, THEN there is Love between them.
Indeed, in our Sleeping state we are tossed from flame to flame as a moth is drawn to this flame or that in utter confusion and dismay for wherever we turn we are always getting burned (like the moth). Letting go of our habitual conditioned thinking and behavior, we are *drawn* no more but rather are guided by our own Awakening. Awakening we ARE the flame, as a flame can not be burned by itself.
Rather a *Pointer*, as I arbitrate nothing. All I can do is Point to the Path and Help you See and Walk it for yourself. I can not Save you, I can only Help you Save you. We are our own referees, as we penalize ourself for making bad judgements and choices. Awakening, we do not judge or choose but rather dwell IN our own Pure unconditioned Awakening and embrace the Moment AS it IS.
Indeed, we are conditioned to live in and by our head. This is most unclear and distorted. To *clear* our vision we must *clear* our head. That is, we must Silence the mind by letting go of the chatter of the conditioned mind. That is, we must let go of our conditioned ideas and images and meanings and dwell IN our own Pure unconditioned Awakening embracing each Moment anew. When we are guided by What-IS Truth and Reality rather than controlled and manipulated by our conditioned notions, the Clarity of Inner Vision is most awesome. For we do not project our conditioned notions into/onto that Vision. Not what we *thought* it is but rather what it IS.
It must be borne in mind that eventually all visualizations must be set aside to dwell IN Pure Silence of mind, to dwell IN Pure Mindfulness IN the Moment. I say this first because it is important not to cling to our visualizations that help us establish this Pure Silence of mind or Pure Mindfulness.
Visualization is much like imagination, in that we envision or imagine whatever it is that we wish to visualize. Visualization of White Light can take many forms. It can be of Light simply consuming the blankness of space such as the day consuming the night as the sun rises. We do not have to see the sun in order for daylight to replace darkness. As the sun peeks over the horizon, slowly but surely night evolves into day steadily increasing the intensity of White Light. Or we can be setting at the eastern seashore viewing the skyline, noticing the skyline becoming more and more distinct as the sky slowly but surely Lightens until the sun peeks over the horizon and instantly floods us with a consuming Ray of Light blasting all in it's wake. Or we project the Light of our own BEing through the Ajna or Third Eye Chakra directing it's flow around and about anything we also visualize, clothing or protecting it with our own Inner White Light.
It takes a little time to develop, and use your own imagination, the above only examples. And I repeat that we can not cling to this imagining, but rather use our power of imagination to our benefit to establish a Pure Silence of mind or Pure Mindfulness.
Aside from that, indeed we are always beguiled when we seemingly get what we think we want. So much so, most of the time, that we narrow our attention on a seeming fulfillment and overlook the *whole picture* especially in relationships. We seem to project more into them than is really there, or is really what we *need*. Desires are the stepping stones to Hell, so it is always more fruitful to *want what we need* rather than *want what we want*. It seems that our *needs* are always dwarfed by our *wants*, so our *wants* are rarely our *needs*. Awakening, our *wants* are our *needs*.
Lao Tzu said:
Accept disgrace willingly; Accept misfortune as the human condition.
What do I mean by "accept disgrace willingly" ? Accept being unimportant. Do not be concerned with loss or gain. This is called: "accepting disgrace willingly."
What do I mean by "Accept misfortune as the human condition" ? MIsfortune comes from having a body. Without a body, how can there be misfortune ?
Surender yourself humbly; then you can be trusted to care for all things. Love the world as your own self; then you can truly care for all things.

Know = Realize What-IS
To Know = BE What-IS
The Known = Toxic Conditioned Thinking
So we must not want to know the known, but rather Realize or BE What-IS.
In our need for the acquisition of empirical data, much theorization will abound -- some quite intelligent and some not. Yet theories are like butts, everyone has one that dispenses much released hot air and crap and what they are actually used best for is to sit on. If we get hung up on *when* Wisdom is offered, we lose sight of *what* Wisdom is offered. It is good information to have at one's disposal, but useless relative to one's Awakening. There is but One Reality, and it is here right NOW this very instant Moment. And Wisdom is only of use IN Reality, the Reality IN the Moment, Moment to Moment. So I would say that the Wiser use of Wisdom is to use it rather than speculate on when it was actually offered. For such a *time-line* of Wisdom offered leads to no verification that it is indeed Wisdom -- that, it verifies itself to those Truly Awakening.
Since it is well known that some of the Hindu Scriptures in India were *written* 10,000+ years ago, is it odd that Egypt would not fall in a like time-frame ? Dear Friend, it was over 120,000 years ago that those from what you call the Golden Age started their migration to various parts of the globe. Is it any wonder that their Wisdom shows up in various places around the globe ? But obviously, the *dating system* used by modern man is still quite lacking.
The answers you Seek can be *found* all over the globe, Egypt just happens to be hiped-up more. Though indeed, Egypt does hold many answers. But answers to a past Golden Age ? Of what use would such answers be ? I would say that it would behoove us more to be concerned about the Dark Age that we are IN and moving Deeper and Deeper into. For this Yuga Dark Age is our problem, both right NOW and in our upcoming future. What we do NOW will determine our Fate in the future, rather than supposed answers of some past so called Golden Age. Indeed an interesting area of inquiry, but it hold no Real answers for us NOW and for our impending Darkened Age.
